Berkshire Medical Center is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 725 North Street in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Berkshire Medical Center. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Berkshire Medical Center.
If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Berkshire Medical Center, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged 18+, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.
The staff members at Berkshire Medical Center have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Berkshire Medical Center. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.
Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Berkshire Medical Center can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

Long wait in E.R. but, people need to realize colds are not an emergency, so it is not BMC'S Fault. Mom was in here many years ago and was treated awesomely
I just came from the ER and the staff there couldn't have been nicer. I was taken right away and since the doctor thought I either had a torn rotator cuff or a pinched nerve in my arm I had X-rays done. From the X-Ray tech to Sean D and Kristen, I thought their service was great! ER's are never fast, so grateful I was out in less than 2 hours.
We were vacationing in the Berkshires. On the morning of our last full day, my husband was concerned with upper back pain, heavy sweating and high pulse rate. Just to be safe we were off to BMC. Arrived at the ER just before 10 AM. By 2:15, they ran him through EKG, X-rays, blood tests and three visits with a doctor. Thank God no real problems were found. Really important since we had a 6 hour drive awaiting. An unplanned but very positive experience.
Have been hospitalized here three times, all as the result of an emergency room visit. Quite pleased with the care and attention I received. The nurses are always attentive and caring, quick to deal with any issue i bring up (other than total jackass roommates, some solutions were contra-indicated by restrictive laws against assault, battery and explosives). The doctors solved my conditions (Gall bladder, Cellulitis, Kidney failure). The follow up care has been exemplary. I have seen specialists for surgery, kidneys, diabetes, ophthalmology, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal issues Parking can be an issue, and some of the elevators make ominous noises but the care has been great.
This hospital's nursing staff is awesome. I was on the second floor and everyone was great. As a person with different dietary needs the kitchen did well, and the portions were on point. Thanks!
I visited the BMC Emergency Room September 28 because I needed to be evaluated for a possible heart attack. They took me right in and treated me promptly, efficiently, and professionally. I am very pleased with the level of care I got there.
On June 18th my husband went to the emergency room, having fallen on a hike and cut under his nose right through to his mouth. Berkshire Medical were terrific: quick, kind and effective. Dr Patterson stitched him up, six stitches outside and four inside his mouth, and less than a month later there is no scar to be seen. The care could not have been better and we are enormously grateful to the entire team and hospital.
